Testamently is an encrypted digital vault with an automated dead man's switch. You store passwords, crypto seed phrases, bank credentials, and documents — all encrypted in your browser with AES-256-GCM — and they are delivered to the people you trust if something happens to you. Your most sensitive secrets can be stored zero-knowledge, so not even we can ever read them.
Every secret is encrypted in your browser with AES-256-GCM before it ever reaches our servers — we store only ciphertext. By default your vault key is recoverable so your trustees can inherit your secrets after the trigger. For your most sensitive items, choose the Zero-Knowledge tier: those are encrypted only to your chosen trustees, so neither Testamently nor anyone with access to our database can ever read them.
You choose a check-in interval — weekly, monthly, or yearly. As long as you check in, nothing happens. If you stop checking in past your grace period, your chosen trustees are notified and the vault unlocks automatically. A verified death certificate can also trigger access.
